Is Google Making Me Stupid?
I don't think that Google is making any one stupider, how can it. It's the world of information at your finger tips. Don't get me wrong, I love books and would much rather read a book then go online. Still, Google does great things. I think that a person learns in a different way online. You learn random information, information that you might not necessarily be needing because you are researching the history of St. Paul's Cathedral in London and by clicking links and related articled you end up looking at the British Invasion and the Beatles. If anything Google makes you lazy, ready for instant information and incredibly reliant on the computer. However, at the same time it can make you smarter, just not in the way you probably need for academic studies...

I definitely agree that Google is information at your fingertips. I think that Google has made us lazier, but when it is used as a resource, it becomes incredibly convenient and useful.

I do agree that Google, and the internet as a whole, is causing us to be lazy and depend entirely on the computer, but I do believe it's affecting our ability to process information as well, thus our intellect. Just as Carr said, we're now unable to actually read through articles and experience deep thought because of our extreme skimming techniques when it comes to researching with Google and other search engines.
