Is Google Making Me Stupid?

Google has just really come on my radar in the past three years - during my stay at community college we were required to use Google Scholar for a lot of assignments. The first time I realized it was more than just a normal search engine, I was completely dazzled - there was so much information available through Google! The ability it gave me to jump from article to article was impressive and distracting. The more I had to use that, as well as article/journal databases, the harder it became to concentrate on books, particularly for research - if I could just use a search engine to find it, why would I waste my time flipping through a book? Now, I force myself to use mostly print resources for my papers so that I don't lose my ability to sit down and read for long periods of time.
