1. What is your first experience with a computer that you can remember?
The first time I remember using a computer was playing with paint games at home on a giant screen. In elementary school, we were taught how to use it.
2. What was the first computer that you owned? Did you purchase it, or did your parents? Do you have to ask for it, or was it just given to you?
My first personal computer is my current MacBook Pro. My dad purchased it for me the summer before I came to FSU. It was part of my graduation present and it went without saying that I would need a laptop for college, so I didn’t need to ask for it.
3. Describe a specific instance in which a computer has had a positive impact on your life.
I’ve received lots of good news from my friends at home through computers. For instance, it allowed me to talk to my sister immediately after she got engaged, see the ring, etc. We can keep in touch with family and friends from home.
4. Describe a specific instance in which a computer has had a negative impact on your life.
My computer has distracted me from schoolwork hundreds of times. For example, last night. The cost of repair is awful and I break things easily.

Hard drive, RAM, screen, keyboard, motherboard, battery, flashdrive, camera, speakers, AC Adapter, central processing unit, monitor, CD drive
6. Do you have a data back-up solution? If so, describe it. If not, is there anything on your computer that you would miss if your computer was lost/broken/stolen?
No, I don’t have a back-up solution. Yes, I would miss my pictures, past assignments and notes, current assignments and notes, and my itunes library.
7. Do you do any activities on the computer besides word-processing/gaming that do not involve the internet?
I have my iTunes, iMovie, and iPhoto, Calendar libraries.

9. Do you store any data in the cloud? With what service?
Yes, I’ve used Google Docs, Mobile Me, pictures on Facebook, and I email myself links so that I can search for them.
